I Am Just A Mother..

You never see the tears that I am about to cry --
instead I turn my head to hide them.
You never see the times I steal away to my room to pray
Instead I call you just talk to you
You never see how my shoulders are sagging under the pressures
Instead I lend my shoulders for you to cry on
You never see the pain I feel when you rebel
Instead I try to be more patient and loving towards you
You never see the way I pull my hand back when I am rejected
Instead I give you my hand to help you stand
You never see the fear in my eyes for being termed as a "disappointment"
Instead I pray for more power and sound mind
You never see any of these things and I do not want you to see them
After all I am just a mother.
